Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company aiming to announce full details in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports suggested the company planned to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not provided a response on the matter.
